At the polls on May 15, Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor voters overwhelmingly supported the school committee's recommended budget of $8,790,738. Boothbay Harbor voters cast 108 votes in favor of the budget and 45 votes opposed. In Boothbay, the vote was similar with 132 affirmative and 36 opposed. Total votes for the CSD budget -- 240 yes, 81 no.

In response to the vote, Superintendent Eileen King remarked, "I am pleased with the support that we received from our community for our students and schools. The school committee, the board of trustees and the building administrators worked very hard in spite of several challenges to present a budget that supported our schools but was also financially responsible to the taxpayers."
