The Fort Edgecomb Bicentennial Committee would like to thank the
surrounding community for all the support provided to our first fundraiser
on April 17 at Bintliff's Ocean Grille in Edgecomb. The four-member
committee is thankful to both the business community and in-kind public
donations and contributions, which helped raise $1,500 towards the
committee's goal of $7,500. The committee is planning a community wide
celebration of the Fort Edgecomb site in June of 2008.
The committee, would like to publicly thank Roger Bintliff and
Bintliff's Ocean Grille for hosting the evening's wine and cheese tasting
in their beautiful second floor reception area, as well as pledging 10
percent of the nights dinner proceeds to the committee's fundraiser.
Local artisans, community members, Edgecomb residents, and area
businesses, came to our aid by donating items to the successful silent
auction held during the wine and cheese tasting. The committee is
encouraged by the outpouring of support by the following business and

Janover, Jim Nelson, Mimi Steadman, Gretchen Burleigh- Johnson, Van Reid,
