Rotarian Chip Griffin called him "a human with a huge heart who contributed behind the scenes." For the family and friends of Ed Harding gathered at the Rotary Club on April 17, it was a night for recognition and praise, anecdotes and love.

Last year, the Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen and then Town Manager Carlo Pilgrim set a goal of meeting the LD1 property tax levy limit. In a series of meetings, municipal budgets were cut and the final budget presented to taxpayers.
