Hodgdon Yachts grant approved by Richmond voters
Tim Hodgdon of Hodgdon Yachts, Inc. of East Boothbay received good news on Tuesday, March 4.
The $400,000 Community Development Block Grant to expand operations to Richmond was supported by the town's residents.
Community Development Block Grants must be approved by residents and are applied for by the municipality on behalf of an organization.
The Hodgdon Yacht expansion will take shape in approximately 30,000 square feet of the former Richmond Business and Manufacturing Center - a former shoe factory - an open space on one floor.
Hodgdon will use the Richmond site for interior boat work which the East Boothbay location cannot accommodate. | |
