Approximately 400 people crowed into the old Opera House in Boothbay Harbor Saturday night, Feb. 9 for the toe-tappin', hand-clappin' sing'-along good time known as the Old-Time Opry.

The second annual event featured over two and a half hours of bluegrass, country, rockabilly, gospel and other music, performed by over 20 local musicians. The musicians ranged in age from teens to 60-something. No matter what the age, the music was pleasurable to hear on a cold, snowy winter night. The sounds of guitars, mandolins, drums, violins, keyboards, harmonicas and other instruments echoed against walls of the century-old-plus building. People danced (including members of the Silver Fox Country Dancers), enjoyed refreshments and most left with a smile of their faces.

The event raised $2,000 for the Opera House and $2,000 for the musicians.
