Fires erupt in Boothbay Harbor

On Wednesday, January 30 at 7:29 p.m., Boothbay Harbor residents reported a bright flash, which lit up the sky, and then the power went out.

The Edgecomb selectmen may have planned to spend most of their Monday night meeting reviewing the town's accounts with Town Auditor Fred Brewer, but they delayed their financial review to the end of the evening, expanding the public comment period.

Boothbay Harbor receives grant for Fish Pier work

The Maine Department of Transportation is awarding nearly one million dollars ($960,700) in grants to 21 coastal cities and towns under the Small Harbor Improvement Program (SHIP). Boothbay Harbor is among the recipients.
