Boothbay Town Clerk Bonnie Lewis has compiled a list of the offices that have positions open.

Voting for candidates will take place on Monday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Boothbay Town Office on Route 27.

At 7:30 that evening, the open town meeting where the rest of the warrant will be discussed and voted on will take place at the town hall at the Boothbay Railway Village.

The 2008 nomination papers will be available on February 6 for the following selectmen's positions.

There are two selectman positions, for three-year terms available that are currently held by A. Ross Edwards and Stephen W. Ham.

One selectman position for an unexpired term of one year, formerly held by Eric B. Hodgdon, deceased, is open.

The Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District has two positions, each for three-year terms available that are currently held by Clarence L. Campbell III and Lorrain E. Hodgdon.

The Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor School Committee has one three-year term available currently held by Mary M. Ripley.

The Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor School District Trustees have one three-year position available currently held by Douglas W. Burnham.

The Boothbay Region Water District has one three-year trustee position available currently held by Mark E. Carter.
