Ken Honey will not seek re-election
Ken Honey announced this week that he will not be a candidate for County Commissioner for Lincoln County in the upcoming 2008 elections in November. Ongoing health reasons have prompted his decision.
Commissioner Honey would like to thank the voters of Lincoln County for their confidence and support over the past 26 years that he has been privileged to serve in public office; 14 years on the Boothbay Region Community School District School Committee, eight years as Representative to the state Legislature in Augusta, and his current four-year term as Lincoln County Commissioner, which will end January 1, 2009.
"It has been an interesting and enlightening 26 years," said Honey, "and I thank the voters for granting me the honor and privilege of serving this wonderful part of the world and the great state of Maine." |
