This high energy, Celtic-based explosion of blues, funk and rock from
Canada brought the Opera House crowd to their feet during the summer of
2006. Enter the Haggis' live show is a musical feast - viscerally dynamic,

effortlessly from the traditional strains of The Chieftains and the Pogues
to the frenetic pop of early Elvis Costello and even to the Latin-tinged
spirit of the Buena Vista Social Club and beyond. Tickets $20 advance &
$24 on the day of the show. For additional information on the band, visit

Before Liz Carroll and John Doyle, Irish music in America struggled to
compete with the music of the Old World. With a new generation of creative

vibrant, forward-thinking Irish music. Separately, they are geniuses of
their instruments - exciting performers and composers who take the
tradition of Irish music in daring, inventive new directions. Together,

Best known for his melodic rural folk piano style, George Winston has
made no secret of the debt his playing owes to the musicians of New
Orleans. "I play three styles New Orleans R&B piano; stride piano, which
was the main way of playing that I worked on after hearing Fats Waller and
Teddy Wilson; and folk piano which is influenced by instrumental R&B and
rock, North American folk music, and even more by the sounds of the piano
itself." Tickets $25 advance & $28 day of show. Ticket holders are asked
to bring a canned or non-perishable food item for a donation to the
Boothbay Region Food Pantry. For additional information on the artist
