A Christmas Carol opens at The Boothbay Playhouse
Once again the Y-Arts Youth Chorus and friends will be performing a
musical version of the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol," at
the Boothbay Playhouse on December 7 and 8. There will be only three
performances -- on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 8 at 2
p.m., and Saturday, December 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets are now on sale at the
YMCA front desk. All three performances were sold out last year so
everyone is encouraged to reserve your tickets in advance.
This year's cast is made up of nearly 100 kids and adults from all over
the Boothbay region. Kit Sherrill will once again play the lead role of
the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. The Cratchit family will include Dean
Domeyer, Donna Griffin, Nellie Kelly, Nate Friant, Dana Greenleaf, Evie
Greenleaf and Rick Hilscher as Tiny Tim. Paul Noah will again play Jacob
Marley with Andy Hamblett as the Ghost of Christmas Present. The Ghost of
Christmas Past will be played by Maggie Larson, Alexis Miller and Noelle
Timberlake.
The cast also includes Cole Domeyer (Fred), Hope Logan (Clara), Joe
Sibley (Young Scrooge), Tori Ripley, Jackie Markee, Lindsey Marden
(Belle), Ashley Lester and Devin Domeyer (Nuns), Bob Hilscher (Applegate),
Pete Ripley (Old Joe), Jay Lewis (Fezzywig), Ben Dewey and Jacob Bishopp
(Turkey boy), Tom Crutcher (Narrator), Tom Dewey (Ghost of Christmas
Future), Genevieve Taylor, Elizabeth DiGiulian, Hailey Buthy, Colette
Bertin, Monique Bertin, Mackenzie Colby, Natalie Brown, Allison Barter,
Taylor Walby, Jackie McLoon, Kate Hilscher, Carson Fassett, Helen
Hamblett, Lincoln Hamblett, Nina Babbitt (School Girls).
Also in the cast as townspeople, maids, ghosts and party-goers are Evan
McClellan, Abby McGrail, Hannah Morley, Grace Oggero, Carmen Peters, Robin
Phillips, Carter Dexter, Grace Dexter, Gretchen Elder, Hannah Elder,
Morgan Elkins, Caroline Knapp, MacKenzie Lorrain, Aryn Markee, Kate
Friant, Chelsie Graves, Tori Schmid, Helena Solorzano, Monica Staples,
Sophia Thayer, Amber Hyson, Abby Thompson, Ashley Reed, Courtney Chaney,

There will also be fifteen young singers from the Y-Arts Kiddie Choir
which will perform in the Saturday, December 8 afternoon show.
