Hi DEYC members! We had our second Winter Gathering on Saturday, November 10, at the home of Andrea and Chris Nielsen on High Head Point in Edgecomb. If it had not been for Daylight Savings, we would have enjoyed a beautiful view at the beginning of Oven's Mouth and the northern tip of Barters Island.

It was a very nice turnout with about 35 members attending. Many new members and prospective new members joined in the gathering. Also attending were four Past Commodores: Senior P.C. Edgar Reed, P.C. Bob Wheeler, P.C. George Masters and P.C. Bill George. This DEYC group really outdid themselves with the wonderful and tasty array of hors d'oeuvres. Again, the munching was delectable!!

I want to remind all members that their dues are expected to be paid by November 30, 2007. When you send in your dues, please include the personal information sheet with all updated changes including the new e-mails.

DEYC Winter Gatherings will be put on hold until after the holidays. The next one is at the home of Sue and Scott Bean on Pension Ridge Rd. in Boothbay.

The DEYC Christmas Party is Saturday, December 1 at the Holiday Inn in Bath. Reservation deadline is Saturday, November 23, 2007. There will be a special room rate for that evening.
