November 8 report:

Another Legion buffet breakfast was held at the hall on November 4. The specialty was corned beef hash. We served 58 adults and three children. I would like to remind everyone that our breakfasts are open to the public. The next breakfast will be November 18.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Coast Guard Chief Boatswains Mate David L. Smith. Our sympathy and condolences go out to his family and friends.

Our dues drive has slowed down a bit. I hope it picks up soon.

The flag disposal is still scheduled for November 11 at 10:30 a.m. and there will be refreshments for everyone.

Lew Curtis and his wife are headed south this week for the winter.

Joe Coombs and his wife have moved into St. Andrews Village for the winter.

I hope we have a good turnout for the observation of Veterans Day.

American Legion Post #36 holds its business meeting on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Anyone having Legion business should try to make this meeting.
