Artist's painting to benefit lighthouse restoration project
Nationally recognized marine artist Ed Parker, a long-time Southport summer resident, has completed an original painting of the Cuckolds Light Station for the Cuckolds restoration project. The painting depicts the lighthouse as it was at the turn of the 19th century.
Signed and numbered limited edition prints of the 18"x24" painting are available and the proceeds will go to the restoration fund. In addition, the original painting is also for sale with half the proceeds going to the restoration effort. Boothbay Harbor Framers in the Meadow Mall, Boothbay Harbor is handling the sales of the prints. To inquire about the purchase of the original painting, contact Parker at 633-5411.
Parker's work has been featured in such diverse publications as Country Home Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Offshore Magazine and Marine Arts Quarterly. He is represented by the Marine Arts Gallery in Nantucket, Greenwich, Conn. and New York City, and by the Jinishian Marine Arts Gallery in Fairfield, Conn. His paintings have been shown nationally, including at the Museum of American Illustration, The Mystic Seaport Gallery and the Norman Rockwell Museum. |
