Join us for coffee on Tuesday, February 6 at 9 a.m. and hear Jack Sprucinski speak on "The Future of Energy." He gave this presentation last week at the magnet school in Limestone.

That same day the Library Aides meet at 1:30 p.m. The Aides are busy coming up with events for the year and planning the details. New members and new ideas are always welcome.

February's artist of the month is Yolanta Sprucinski. Yolanda takes great pictures, especially of Southport, and her digital photography will be on display throughout the library.

February's book choice is non-fiction, "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls. It's been on the New York Times best seller list for a year. Join the book group's discussion on Thursday, February 15 at 7 p.m.

Handmade Valentines and heart-shaped pins are on sale at the desk. The patterns for the paper cuttings over the doorways plus others are on the round table with red and white paper. Take the patterns home and try them or cut them out here. We have tiny scissors.
