We are keeping busy here at BRES during the last few weeks of school. Before you know it, though, summer will be upon us (providing the weather ever clears up). If your children are anything like I was growing up, once summer gets here they will soon be issuing the infamous "I'm bored" statement.

So here are a few suggestions to help you deal with this problem.

• Why not sign them up for Great Explorations or Camp Knickerbocker

• How about visiting a museum

• Learn to play a musical instrument

• Delve into a summer reading program.

We live in a community where there are many fun and educational opportunities and we really do not have to look that far. Have fun.

As the school year draws to a close, families begin to plan for the summer. We are fortunate to have many opportunities available in the region. Our YMCA has adventure camp and day camp. There are tennis classes, swimming lessons, sports camp and much more. Visit the YMCA to get the details.
