Arthur
A memorial service is planned Saturday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the East
Boothbay Methodist Church for Arthur M. (Mike) Adams, 81, who passed away
on February 3 in Florida. Bayview Lodge #196 will conduct a Masonic
service, followed by a celebration of Mike's life, led by Rev. Allan
Wells-Goodwin, pastor of the church, which will include The Final Call, a
tribute to former firemen. Mike was a fireman and an EMS with the
ambulance service for many years in New Jersey, and later served as a
volunteer with the East Boothbay Fire Department. Several of his
grandchildren will also take part in the service.
A reception will follow the service, in the vestry of the church. In
lieu
of flowers, those who wish may make contributions in his name to the
Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Tampa Unit, 12502 N. Pine Drive,
Tampa, Florida 33612.

Marjorie B. Adams
A Committal Service for Marjorie B. Adams who died January 27, 2002
will
be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11 in Alna Cemetery in Alna.
Arrangements are by Mayo & Daigle Funeral Home, 40 Federal Street
in
Wiscasset.

Carolyn B. Dodge
Carolyn Bergquist Dodge, 74, of Edgecomb, died Tuesday, April 30 at her
home.
Born May 14, 1927 in Boothbay Harbor, she was the daughter of Leland
and
Beatrice May Bergquist. She grew up and attended local schools, graduating
from Boothbay Harbor High School.
Mrs. Dodge worked for Central Maine Power Company for 34 years as a
office
supervisor. On July 4, 1984, she married Clarence Pinkham Dodge.
She enjoyed spending time with her family during the holidays,
especially
Thanksgiving; loved to ride in her 1966 Catalina, played the piano and
cello and enjoyed singing, going to camp on Moosehead Lake, dancing, her
teddy bears, and her dog Mitzi.
Survivors include her husband,, Clarence P. Dodge of Edgecomb; one
brother, Fred Bergquist of Dunnellon, Florida and Boothbay Harbor; sister,
Joanne Bain of Rhode Island; stepchildren, Linda Wood and Alan Dodge, both
of Edgecomb; two grandchildren; two great-grandchild-ren; one nephew, aunt
and uncle; and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4 at the Edgecomb
Congregational Church with Rev. Rick Newell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society, 52 Federal Street, Brunswick, ME 04011.
Arrangements were by Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home of
Boothbay.

Joseph E. McKay
Joseph (Mickey) Ernest McKay, 78, of Kittery, died April 29 at his home
after a brave battle against cancer.
Born in Edgecomb on June 8, 1923, he was a son of Ernest and Pearl
McKay.
He attended local schools, after which he served his country in the United
States Army Air Force and landed in Normandy, France on his birthday,
which was two days after D-day.
Mr. McKay moved to Kittery in 1950 to work at the Portsmouth Naval
Shipyard, where he was a shipfitter in Shop 11 for 30 years until his
retirement in 1980.
He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. His primary focus
in
life was his family, his gardens and his dogs. He was constantly helping
all his children with projects around their homes and running errands for
them.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nellie (Dunlap) McKay; seven
children, Carol Sue Grover of Kittery, Judith Ashmore of Fredericksberg,
Va., and Kittery, Joanne McKay of Kittery, Joseph McKay Jr. of Auburn,
Robert McKay Jr. and Reginald McKay, both of Kittery, and Stephen McKay
and his wife, Sue, of Cape Neddick; nine grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; sisters, Olive Wright of Pemaquid Point and Edith
Lewis of Trevett; two brothers, Thomas McKay of Pemaquid Point and Alfred
McKay of Edgecomb.
He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Blake, of Edgecomb.
