Harbor selectmen ease into town vote

The Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen convened two meetings last week - one public hearing on the communications center referendum question and one regularly scheduled board meeting.

Last year the residents of Boothbay voted overwhelmingly to return to the traditional open town meeting format rather than secret ballot. Boothbay's Town Meeting day will consist of a day and evening vote.

Police arrest seven men in drug trafficking ring

The Boothbay Harbor Police Department reported that seven men were arrested as a result of an investigation into a cocaine trafficking operation in the Boothbay Region.

Harbor elects candidates Friday; town meeting Saturday

The polls will open at the Boothbay Harbor Municipal Office on Friday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters will be asked to choose two selectmen, one school committee member, one school district trustee, one sewer district trustee, and one water district.
